Leadership and Culture
Connecting people to purpose; through values based leadership and culture.
About:
Most organisations have a perfectly crafted strategic plan, but struggle to execute it. In an age of intrinsic uncertainty, top-down planning and business disruption, Geoff takes you on a fast-paced journey to cut through and deliver on your plan. Drawing on special operations methodology contextualised for business, you will learn to plan like a general and then adapt your plan to constantly changing circumstances without ever losing momentum. This interactive program is centred on what it means to lead in practice and build a responsive, healthy organisational culture that delivers. From self-development to leading organisations, Geoff’s 25 years in special operations and business provides a unique opportunity to take your team outside its comfort zone. Using real-world scenarios in an immersive and fun environment you will learn to link strategy to people to deliver any plan.
Who is it for? Leaders who need to engage and motivate their people about a strategy or plan. Teams that need to deliver a plan - that’s pretty much everyone.
Problem - Most organisations have a strategy but struggle to execute or motivate the people tasked to deliver. Often organisational culture silos information and retains authority over decision making at only the highest levels. At the same time, lower level staff feel blamed for any mistakes. This leadership and cultural paradigm, combined with continuous uncertainty in the modern era, leads to top-down control mechanisms that are inefficient and leave many organisations in near-gridlock.
Solution - Learn how ‘mission-command’ leadership and the right organisational culture can allow teams to work towards a clearly defined objective, making real-time adjustments to a plan as circumstances change without having to refer back to a high-level leader. When implemented correctly, this flexible approach actually increases control and allows leaders to move ahead in any environment.
Benefits - Countering uncertainty with empowered leadership and an organisational culture that synthesizes new information and adapts to changes in circumstances in real-time will allow any leader to cut-through, and translate any plan into action.
Outcomes: Experience how the right leadership and culture can free decision-makers and help them manage uncertainty with confidence. Deliver clear communication with a strategy and plan everyone understands, owns and delivers.Create a dynamic workplace culture where people are motivated to do their job and support each other - as one team. Analyse strategy, develop, pressure test and implement plans.Learn how to develop organisational culture and get it to work for you in practice.
